Guidance coming from the past refers to a quiet place within for refreshment and clarity. In our modern time, people under great stress have found and drawn on this energy within. The challenge before us is to find the resolve to create those moments of quietness. At first it may seem pointless with so many urgent matters demanding our time. But know that the energy we draw on to look outwards is coming from within. Time for quietness and mental stillness strengthens that connection. It also gives opportunity to deepen the link so that more of that guidance is available to us.
That task is not easy for most. Guided Meditation in many forms gives us the necessary distraction to draw us away from our mental agitation towards that place where “Still Waters Run Deep”.

Breathe It All Away
We can become quite scattered, quite disconnected within ourselves. Finding a technique or creating time to ‘fall back’ into our inner reserve can be more than helpful. It is not something people of this age find easy as there are sometimes just too many things going on. Breathing can be a useful tool. We overlook the fact that not only does it support our life, but the breath draws in energy. Adding this to our creative mind we can bring our attention to the ‘in’ breath drawing in our ‘life’ energy and the ‘out’ breath a releasing, letting go, detaching. We use this technique in all our meditations. The rhythmic pattern and feeling the moving breath is a very powerful mind tool we use to draw the mind away and towards a quietness, allowing us to gain strength, energy and clarity to manage our days. It may not be instant but it is a useful pathway for us. This is a difficult topic. Most of the time we focus on material wealth which for many, many people is lacking. We have a disposition to scarcity. So, as we look for abundance we seek it through the lens of scarcity. We have that confusing statement, “As I think it so it is!”
When we speak of abundance we should consider all aspects of our life. To affirm, “I am abundant”, is to very gently shift the focus and use tools like meditation and mindfulness to turn around to see everything in the light of abundance rather than scarcity. Yes, a very hard shift of direction. So, no rash moves and no taking unnecessary risks, rather simply allow the abundant energy of the universe to flow though every aspect of you, gently feel it. It will of course require a little self-management. That is the challenge, “As you think it – so it is”. Pathway to Replenishment (20 Minutes)
Humanity is remarkably unstoppable. This is the big picture, but for many it is not easy. Our individual lives can be quite compromised and very unhappy. The key to a successful future for humanity lies with each individual person. As more people seek and find inner peace there will be purpose and harmony. Humanity as a whole may settle back and work with the amazing planet on which we all live and be in harmony with the natural world, but not yet a-while! Our goal is to find that inner energy of joy. It can, of course, be experience in our life, however, the clarity and energy to transform the way we see ourselves and our lives must come from within. The Path to Replenishment is a path towards that inner energy of peacefulness. It is a challenge with all the turbulence today. It is there and it is there for us if we choose. Meditation and Mindfulness is a well established path that is there for us. Sometimes challenging roads lead to good things ahead. That old story of Br’er Rabbit and the Briar Patch, where going back is impossible.
Our paths are complex and varied. We cannot go back. The road sign “Good Things Ahead” points us in a new direction, creates a positive attitude and we can anticipate good things ahead, whatever they may be. To anticipate does not define what they will be so we can allow them to manifest as they will in their own time. That is where it gets difficult because, “When do we want it”, “We want it now” is the chant. The question we consider is “Are we ready?” Are we ready for a change of direction, a change of lifestyle. Good things ahead. It seems that most people chat to themselves. It may not be obvious but in a subtle way we mentally comment on what is happening either with us or around us. Part of the purpose it seems is to maintain a constant idea of who we are. This is important as we do need to maintain an identity.
Starting from this point it gives us an opportunity to change that story of who we are, what we can do, and our limitations. Not everyone is happy. At the moment many are under pressure of one kind or another. Feeding some new positive thought into the mix may bear fruit. This can be very frustrating because we look for immediate change – on the down-sides of the Credit Card. Redirection is a slow process, patience is essential. The first step is becoming more aware of those “I can’ts”. Mindfulness is a good process to use to ease off on the negative “self talk”. Meditation allows us to get past the jumble of mind chatter and go a little deeper into out reserves. Any time is a good time to create a little energy for ourselves. There are many times when there is a lot of pressure on us for all sorts of reasons. Currently humanity seems to be in a storm of confusion. The demands on people are very great.
Stress is very destructive and stepping back for refreshment is not easy. We are seeing the results of global stress and the resulting unhappiness in the ‘unwellness’ of so very many people. Simply speaking, sometimes we have to override what is going on around us, the demands being made on us and our time, and even what is being churned over in our head. Become aware of losing energy and take action. Find that quiet moment. Use whatever works for you to withdraw, to regroup and to stabilize the feelings. Look to posture – to feel positive. Breathe to create a rhythm of distraction and to refresh life-energy. Perhaps use the universal mantra so – hum as an added mind/emotion distraction. Allow time to soothe the feelings and relax for refreshment. Create some very real “Me” Time, you are worth it! |
