Many of us stand at the foot of the mountain in search of transformation, and as we reach the top, we may experience a peace, not of this world.
But the time comes when we must return to the earth with our feet on the ground. What a great opportunity to bring that experience with us, change our attitude and live in conscious contentment. Meditation can assist in taking you to that mountain top. It is within you already.

We've often spoken about the unseen energy, that deeper, elusive aspect of our self, which is present with us all the time, but very difficult to know if it's even there.
It seems hidden so we can make free choices, determine our own pathways but we can also choose to ask for guidance, clarity and help. The choice is ours to make. Meditation is an opportunity to open our awareness, get behind the stream of thought, connect and begin to trust we are not alone. There is support for us. It is our choice. Human beings have this amazing capacity to be able to connect joyfully. It's not apparent in many cultures. But there are cultures which are able to come together with a great spirit of connectivity and love.
So there may be collaboration, a joyfulness and a sharing of energy. For us separately, it is to begin to find something deeper within our self. We can go a little bit deeper than our five senses and begin to find within our self a knowing, a presence, an energy. Joyfulness is a powerful, healing energy. It will bring us into a state of well-being because it is energy in itself.
To draw such joy from our heart centre means bringing our total self towards a wholeness, so that we are aware of a deep presence within. In meditation and stillness, we relax and open to that presence with complete joy and gratitude. There is an awareness in many people that there is a presence within them. It may be a glowing, a feeling, or just simply knowing that we are in company with something deeper. It has never interfered unless we have specifically asked for guidance, but in those moments of quietening down we are open for a connection with that presence. We provide that opportunity in our meditation.
In our present situation, with so many things happening in our world, it is very easy to close down, and in so doing there is a chance that we become rigid.
To be flexible, to be open and to be flowing is important at this time. For that to be achieved we need to learn to be still. In that stillness we can choose to be open, open to our inner wisdom, our inner guidance and our inner freedom. GM 353 Surrender To The Stillness
It may not be possible to find peace and harmony from the world around us, particularly as there is so much agitation, fear and sometimes almost chaos. If we can bring ourselves to stillness, then the energy clears and we may even catch a glimpse of that which is beneath the surface. The stillness is the deep self within each person. Surrender to it. You don’t have to look for it. Relax into it. It is there - It is you. You are the stillness! A deep peace, a trust, a guidance and clarity. The practice of stillness through meditation and quietness is the way to clarity. What choice will I make today? Will it serve me well?
Which path will I take? Challenging questions. Many choices are influenced by love or fear, scarcity or abundance. This can make us fixed and rigid in our attitude. Guidance and clarity in our choices may point us towards love, kindness, joyfulness and abundance. Bringing ourselves to stillness and quietness in meditation may take us to an inner wisdom so that we can trust our choices. There is an energy beneath the surface that has always been there, but we're not aware of it.
It's always been there. It's always been part of us. That deep energy is bubbling just below the surface. That is who we really are. We have chosen to be human and of course our organic self is dominant. But in times of quietness we may connect beneath the surface for clarity and strength. There is much disturbance and unrest on our planet at the moment. Many people are confused and anxious. But very slowly, there is new growth appearing.
Green shoots of hope, of change, are emerging as small groups begin to explore new purpose, meaning, and positive belief systems. This change will be subtle and gentle, but the main change must be within ourselves. Each brick in the wall is needed to support the wall for it to hold |
