Finding our personal freedom can be challenging. With all the many disturbances in our world, we are drawn into our five senses, which engulf us in anxiety and self-preservation, bordering on fear.
To maintain our personal inner freedom, we must step back and see the big picture, see what really is important. This meditation may help us realise that at our core centre, there is peace and harmony and freedom of choice.

With so many disturbances in our world at the moment, we can easily find ourselves being pushed out of balance and harmony, not just with others, but within ourselves. This short meditation may be helpful to let go for a few moments, to re-align and re-establish that stability and harmony within.
This is a time to be quiet, finding that place behind our thoughts, where there is a welcoming, loving wholeness, where we can renew and where we can gain clarity and strength. Find that place of calm within.
Be comfortable. Follow the breathing. Let the words of the meditation take you to that place of loving kindness, it is there for you, and always has been. Our place of peace is in the stillness. The process of meditation does give us an opportunity to find that quiet place behind our thoughts where we can renew, where we can connect to our hidden resources. Each breath we take is drawing in new energy and each out-breath is a release. It is also the rhythm of our regeneration and the flow of our connectivity with all things. That is a great mystery, but it is who we are.
Meditation is being still, being relaxed, being awake and letting be what is.
To connect, you need to be quiet, and set an intention that you are here at this time to find a harmony and a peace within yourself. So, bring yourself gently into the now, using the rhythm of the breath and letting all else go. As we travel forwards on our pathway, we need to consider what we carry with us. Most of us have so much unwanted baggage, which weighs us down. If we could stop for a moment, put it down and instead, gather together a new, fresh energy, we could travel so much more freely. There is an ‘unseen energy’ which always journeys with us. If we can trust and let this energy guide us, our pathway will be clearer and lighter.
Pause, Reflect, Restore (10 Minutes)
It’s that time of the year where we need to slow down, but many of us are still so busy that it is difficult to stop, look around, and notice the beauty all around us. There is a calming energy in beauty and wonder. Pause, gently relax, to draw love and light from our deep core-self to open to our inner reserves. Even a ten minute break to be calm and refreshed could make all the difference to how our year draws to a close. Learning to respect one another is often a challenge, particularly in our current times of uncertainty. It is, however, a vital step towards treating each other with loving kindness.
This meditation is designed to take you into that deep space where you can tap those unseen energies within. It is from here that you will find the resilience to spread and share that much-needed love with humanity. In these, uncertain times, there is a need to stay grounded, to stay strong, and to create a deeper connection with the Earth. It is also an opportunity to connect with ourselves (our whole self, body, mind, and our elusive core self). This meditation may help you as you breathe, to relax, open and deepen your sense of who you are, coming home to freedom, harmony and balance. Our resilient self.
“Slow down, you move too fast!”
You’ve probably heard these words before. But as you sit in your meditation, just let the words wash over you. You really don’t need to do anything, to experience anything except stillness. The words are only there to guide you, to draw you away from the (crazy) world we live in. So slow down, be still, and see your world as beautiful and amazing! |
