Without realising it we are immersed in noise. Not only does the noise come from outside but so many people have noise in their minds. This may be endless thoughts or simply the ‘hum’ of past thoughts still leaving their trace. It all adds up to stress.
This stress may not be easy to diminish but there are ways. It is now generally accepted that one way to ease away this stress in body and in mind through a combination of mindfulness and meditation, but it does require practice. So, we should work towards sitting in silence as part of our daily life. These guided meditations offer a step towards reducing stress and reclaiming our joy and creativity. In meditation we suggest using a mantra to create a relaxed mind. The Mantra (so ‘ham) we suggest is pronounced, ‘so hum’. It means: ‘I am all there is’ in Sanskrit. A gentle added mental sound added to the breath.
