Seekers and Finders If you are reading this, it could be either that you are just curious, or that you feel that there is more to discover about the world and yourself, but you don’t quite have the trust, or the courage to make the step. Whatever it is, rest assured there is a real energy that is currently drawing people in various ways to explore and share new horizons. Maybe you are a seeker, or even a finder? Pathlight Connections Report We have been creating a foundation for our Pathlight Connections, a small group learning to communicate digitally, to feel comfortable with others whom we have never met in person. We have had some interesting discussions on core values, seeking purpose and savouring the idea of new systems of belief without fear. It is still very much a pilot project but we believe in time it may evolve into something really beneficial, to explore boundaries, new concepts, and trusting ourselves to speak. Food for thought. When a big tree falls it makes a great noise and a frightful mess. What we don’t see immediately, or hear, is the silence of the new seeds sprouting amongst the ruins. Perplexed? The change has been subtle but significant. Changes such as climate and political, social, economic and many other challenges. The great hidden change is happening within us. Many cannot see where to go and even what is the purpose because the old patterns have gone or are going. It is affecting young people. Earphones don’t fully block the anxiety. The challenge is to see that we may not be able to look ‘out’ to find the ‘inner’ peace we seek. The way ‘in’ needs a rethink of our fundamental systems of belief of who we are and our connection to the universal reality. Old systems seem to devalue us and leaving us in a fear mode. The mindfulness meditation can in a gradual way relax us and open us to new pathways to find answers to our most basic and fundamental questions. Support on this path really needs to be connected to a like-minded community. Pathlight is such a community. Although there is as yet no community interaction, the guided meditations, the websites and the links can create a common pathway A Jolt – Make The Most Of It Humanity has had a jolt. Many aspects of life are not what they used to be. It is an evolutionary shift and it is giving many folk the opportunity to reset. It has also made many aware that we cannot survive with the multiple divisions and lack of care, and especially without kindness. We are asking the question “are we flourishing”? Can we give each other the freedom to flourish? Can we let go the need for control? Mel Robbins has presented the idea of “Let Them”. In conversations about global flourishing one pattern stands out. Our young people’s level of flourishing has diminished. We can use this time of confusion to re-evaluate the potential within. Water In The Tank For many people life has been relatively easy. It is easy if we are not challenged. We go to sleep! When we have a jolt we find we are lacking the resilience to flourish. We are shattered. We want to change – so we can rest again. That is an evolutionary step back. If we want to drink from the tank there must be water in it. Likewise if we need to draw from our inner reserves it needs to be there. Adaptation. When the first European farmers came to Western Australia they followed their farming traditions, planting the wheat seeds in late spring to harvest as expected in late summer. They rejoiced as they watched the seeds sprout and grow - then looked with horror as the seedlings were burnt to a crisp in the summer sun. Rigid attitudes that worked in the past may need adaptation to survive in the future. Support and Encouragement Streamed Meditation We stream an online meditation session on Tuesday, 9am Perth time. A support group energy may help with connecting for some personal refreshment. Pathlight Conversations On Wednesday we stream Pathlight Connections. A mix of a short discussion followed by a creative visualisation opening us to a still mind. Guided Meditation We email a Guided Meditation each week. It may soothe and quieten our minds and help with sleep and relaxation. They are also intended to take us a little deeper for clarity and (paving the way) to strengthen our resilience.
