Find a comfortable position in which it is easy to relax. The guidance continues through the meditation. They include a theme talk (<5> minutes), a relaxation, energising and balancing central core, several quiet times (1 - 4 minutes), concluding with a return. If you wish to stay in the quiet time stop the play back. The length of recording is around 30 minutes
We may have goals or hopes for 2023, may be even a resolution. That is great. There are some helpful steps we can take to push that along. Often we lack the energy to progress forward. We may find ourselves where we don’t want to go because of some inner conflict.
So back to basics. We often forget about the most basic part of who we are, and that is our physical self, our body. We overlook that our body has an enormous influence on the way we think, and of course it is our thinking that creates our attitude and the clarity of purpose.
This meditation and those following create opportunities to ‘change’ the energy of our body. To smooth out the lumps and bumps and even the spikes, so that our physical body may bring its level of support that together the mind and body may work in harmony as we look forward.

Gathering ourself as a whole person is a great beginning. The last few years has left many quite fractured. Fresh start is an opportunity to gather ourselves together or strengthen our resolve to step forward.
Reconnecting with our body can be quite a challenge as many times we try to escape the reality in which we find ourselves and that is very understandable.
We may need to approach this gently. In this meditation the relaxation component creates an opportunity to change the energy, the life force in our body. It’s a great place to start. Using the energy in the breath and drawing the ‘earth’ energy to refresh all our systems and cells. Yes, we do use the imagination, but we may find, perhaps to our surprise, we do actually feel a new fresh energy expanding within us.
How many lives do we live? No wonder we are exhausted. This is partly true. I also think it is too easy to get addicted to bad news, enmeshed in others’ stories. Our media thrives on it. So how many lives are we living? It can only be beneficial to learn to step back into our own story. That should be enough to keep us occupied.
There is one little task we can practice that may shift the way we see ourselves and the world around us. Make time each day to stop and bring to mind something good. Something which at some time brought you joyfulness, something that raised your energy and brought you into the present moment. There must be something hidden under the rubble. A start would be to choose to think of something positive each day. For some this may be a struggle, but it is worth persevering with.

That point when the past and future disappears. The point of balance. It is a point of power and of clarity. It is hard for us to achieve because we are easily distracted. The other challenge we have is that, particularly in spiritual or personal development, we tend to move away from our anchor point, and that is our body.
In those moments when you might want to disconnect and find a quiet time, as well as focussing on the breathing, also focus on how your body is feeling. Not how you might be feeling, as that will probably be emotional, but notice how your body is feeling.
To connect with your anchor point is to move towards that point of balance - which is the present moment. It may not seem important but it is a point of clarity and a point of re-creation.
