Those old stories that we cling to actually shape our personality. It is an ego protective mechanism. It’s time to become aware of them, notice their influence and begin to let them go. They do not help us so to let them go. They really do not exist anymore.

What we can do is share with the planet moments of happiness and joy. When you feel really happy share it with the planet. This tips the balance. It feeds into the global story some positive energy. Perhaps, once a day, just spent a moment to imagine earth planet bathed in love and light. It is instantaneous. Send it with a single thought! Throw a film of kindness and calm over humanity. Then carry on ‘chopping wood and carrying water’.
There are people who are open and they are able to draw on this energy and in their own small corner, which may be quite dark, begin to shift the balance. However, know that this coming of age is a very gradual process. There is a shelter
We can work towards finding shelter in the storm. It does require some effort and some resolve. Although we look outwards, that place of true peace is found within. That is the challenge for us. We do have one tool we can use and that is our breathing. We also need to be able to find a place where we can be undisturbed for a short while. As we draw near that ‘quiet place’ we will be able to settle down and draw strength. I have presented this experience as a humourous Story. It was very revealing of that child’s emerging consciousness. Perhaps we do need to ‘soften’ our adult shape. As we are finding out in this group the boundaries of consciousness have no end!
Age does not limit us!
The unseen energy (spiritual energy as it is sometimes called) is the most powerful and is the main source of healing. Think of it as Light or Love. As we ‘send’ or ‘reflect’ it, do so, not only to other people or ourself, but to the planet. Healing is possible not only for physical and emotional ailments, but to the Earth on which our experience of life depends. You can send light. That is powerful. You may think that sending light and love to people might just be a little action that you do, and then you forget about it. Yes, it is like that, but every time you sow those seeds, that is a little more power that is being broadcast.
 My True Self
The Self (‘l Am”) is the deep awareness within us. It is the source of our being, the source of our l-am-ness. Most of us have tunnel vision, we are narrow minded and one-eyed. We are not aware from where our consciousness arises. We think we are worthless, we think we are only our body. We belittle ourselves and see others as we see ourselves. It is the spirit within, the Self, that is giving us the light of consciousness, but it is being dimmed by our contracted vision. Sometimes they are called ‘old movies’. They are memories of past experiences, real or imaginary that we are attached to. They are all in the past and by ‘playing’ them we keep ourselves locked into them. They pull us down, often drain our energy, manufacture guilt or failure and generally reduce our joyfulness, playfulness and happiness. These old stories flit through our mind, distracting us by demanding attention.
 The purpose of this whole creation is experience. The purpose of human life is to experience. We experience the separation from Great Spirit with a gift of free choice, and we experience the variations in physical life, starting very dependent as a baby and slowly shaping our identity in our human circumstances. We experience the various stages of adult life in relationships and in culture.
For this great adventure the love energy of Great Mystery has created its opposite for us. Our choices, thoughts, opportunities and experiences all take place between love and fear. These opposites are perfectly balanced and we create our path of life between them. These are the polarities of our earthly life. In our story we come to these polarities because, without contrast there is no experience.
