Free To Be Me
This is a lovely thought. Perhaps it is something we do seek in the world around us, traveling, doing new things, seeking new experiences but often they do not fully satisfy us. There is an inbuilt desire to look further. Even so we all carry subtle weights and obstacles that often pop up, unexpectedly or in those half-awake moments when the ‘what ifs, the ‘should haves’, and the ‘shouldn’t haves’ creep in and drain our energy. They don’t actually exist. They have no reality except in our own mind, but they persist. They limit our freedom and can start to create a reality that we definitely do not want. Mindfulness is the practice of ‘training’ the mind. What we are doing is bringing our body, emotions and mind into harmony, bringing our scattered parts together so they work in balance. The meditation takes us into bringing our body-mind into harmony with the unseen energies, our life force, our spirit. We move towards remembering who we really are, bringing a freedom to be deeply secure and flexible, ‘Free to be Me’.
